A 9-year-old girl fatally stabbed an 11-year-old girl in the chest with a kitchen knife during a fight over a ball, authorities said.

The 9-year-old, whose name wasn't released, was charged with manslaughter.

Police spokesman Paul J. Browne told The New York Times that he was "unaware of anyone younger implicated in such an act in New York City."

The victim, Queen Washington, 11, was pronounced dead at a hospital.

"She only stabbed her once. It went straight to the heart," Joyce Porter, Queen's grandmother, told WCBS-TV.


Washington's family says the godmother stepped out to borrow something from a neighbor, reports WCBS-TV's Hazel Sanchez. Police say Washington and
her godmother's 9-year-old daughter got into a fight over a small toy ball, and the 9-year-old girl stabbed Washington in the chest

A spokesman for the Brooklyn district attorney's office said the case would go to family court because the girl is younger than 14.

The book is clearly a photographer's prop. I'm sure that copy of "Stars and Planets" has two cruddy palm prints worn into the front cover from being the centerpiece of so many lil' honor students' pictures.

Kids are a product of the environment they grow up in...notice there is no mention of "daddy" in this article.

Of course it's no surprise...since 70% of black kids born nowadays are born out of wedlock...usually with no father figure in sight.

In the life cycle of the niglet, the buck goes off to prison, aka, nigger heaven, after mating with the negress sow. Then the niglets are free to become the next generation of criminals starting at age 5 or 6. Could these dark cretins be any more different from us????? I think not!!

A 9-year-old girl pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter Friday, admitting she fatally stabbed her 11-year-old playmate after a tug-of-war over a rubber ball went sour.

The girl, identified by the city only as Shanice K., admitted she stabbed Queen Washington once in the chest at a Memorial Day gathering in Brooklyn, the city said in a statement after the proceeding.

Judge Jane Pearl ordered that Shanice remain in a non-secure setting pending sentencing. She also ordered an investigation into the child's background.

"We are confident this is an appropriate resolution of this tragic matter," said Assistant Corporation Counsel Suzette Rivera. "The plea takes i

nto account the great harm caused by the respondent and holds her accountabl
e" for the slaying.

Shanice was accompanied by her mother and defense attorney Nicole Barnum in Brooklyn Family Court, the city said.

Shanice and the victim were described as close friends. The girls' mothers were best friends as well when Queen was invited to Shanice's home for a Memorial Day barbecue.

Police said the death occurred when Shanice's mother had stepped out of her apartment to borrow something from a neighbor.

She returned to find that her daughter had plunged a steak knife into Queen's chest, police said. Queen stumbled into a hallway and collapsed.

Police, who could not recall a younger suspect being arrested for a killing in the city, said Shanice confessed shortly after the stabbing.
