The attack that resulted in her death was reportedly broadcast live for over 15 minutes on a Facebook livestream.

35-year-old Earl Lee Johnson, whose face can be seen on the video, has been arrested for first-degree murder. At a news conference, the Baton Rouge Police Department said Johnson and David had been on a “drug binge” that lasted over the course of several days and ended when he choked, beat and stabbed her.

Apparently they were involved in some drug usage together for a couple of days and the end result—as everyone has seen on Facebook Live—is a very gruesome, very evil act,” BRPD spokesperson L'Jean McKneely said.

Police say Johnson was already in coontody for stealing the car David was found in when Fakebook notified them of the gruesome livestreamed video, which led to a coonfession to the murder from Johnson.
