The events that led to the beating death of Keyshawn Howard, 2, began with a late-night trip to buy marijuana, prosecutors said Sunday.
At about 11 p.m. Friday, Charles C. Anderson, 22, and his girlfriend Tawalah Grant, 19, took her son, Keyshawn, and her 3-month-old daughter for a walk through their Englewood neighborhood to buy drugs, prosecutors said.
