Osceola County Sheriff's Office detectives announced Tuesday they had concluded a week long, multi-agency, undercover operation during which 40 suspects, including five from Osceola County, were arrested and charged with soliciting sex from a child via the Internet and other sex and drug related crimes.

Led by the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, Operation Red Cheeks was conducted Jan. 8-16 in conjunction with detectives, officers and special agents of the Central Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

“The success of this operation was the result of multiple local and state agencies working together in a cooperative effort. Florida Sheriffs and the Florida Sheriff's Association has taken a strong proactive enforcement position to combat these predators statewide. These predators stalk the cyber community looking for children to victimize. This operation resulted in 40 arrests which means at a minimum, 40 children did not fall prey to a sexual deviant,” Sheriff Bob Hansell said in a press release.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement worked with Citrus, Lake, Orange, Sumter, Polk, Hardee and Manatee County sheriff's offices and Ocoee, Kissimmee, Sanford, Orlando, Longwood and Casselberry police departments. During the operation, undercover detectives from the agencies posed as juveniles or the parent or guardian of a juvenile to talk with individuals in chat rooms and instant messaging programs on the Internet. Suspects would travel to an undercover house or secondary meeting location located in Osceola County with the purpose of having sex with a child.

During the chats, some of the suspects sent pornographic images to the undercover detectives and they also brought alcohol, drugs and other items to the meeting. One suspect traveled from Georgia and another was on vacation from Alaska, but most were from cities in Florida. All the suspects were arrested in Osceola County.

The arrests included a head swim coach, a professional golfer on the Senior PGA Tour, an eighth-grade teacher, business professionals and consultants and eight college students.

“This operation should also be a warning to all parents to monitor and be involved with their child's computer activities,” Hansell said.

Never ceases to amaze me that these type of stings work so well. With all the To Catch a Predator shows and continual news coverage of these type of stings, idiots still continue to think they are hooking up with some young hot girl that can't wait to have sex with some overweight 40 yr old loser. Sickening to see some white men mixed up in that insane BS!

Right you are, Gman. I've grown to expect this sort of behavior out of the melanin enhanced races, where child rape and pedophilia are just a normal part of the dis-functional family upbringing.

It really saddens me to see white grown men are chasing down children, though. They don't have a genetic excuse.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office reports that a Kissimmee man was one of six people arrested in a September sting operation designed to catch those who use the internet to solicit minors for sex.
As part of "Operation Child Protector IV," during which detectives posed as children or guardians of children on social media platforms, mobile apps, and online dating sites to investigate those who prey upon and travel to meet children for unlawful sexual activity, Jairo Muniz, 40, was arrested.
According to a PCSO release, Muniz engaged in an online conversation on a social networking site and via cell phone with an undercover detective who was posing as a 13-year-old girl. He asked several questions about her sexual experience and described the sex acts he wanted to do to her; he stopped and bought condoms on the way. He sent a nude photo of himself to the girl. He told detectives that he is married and has four daughters between the ages of 9 and 16 years old. He said he is a laborer at a scaffolding company, and that he told his boss he was going to be late to work the day he traveled to meet the child for sex.
Muniz was arrested and charged with four felonies: traveling to meet a minor for sex, attempted lewd battery, transmission of material harmful to minor and use of a two-way communication device to commit a felony. Court records show he was released from jail on Sept. 24 after posting bond.
