Former Philadelphia TV weatherman David Rogers faces up to 4 years in jail after he pleads guilty to vehicular-assault charges in Cleveland.

Rogers worked for KYW-TV in Philadelphia, and was a weather anchor at WCBS in New York at the time of the incident.

The television weatherman has acknowledged that he hit two
construction workers on Interstate 480 last summer and then drove away.

Rogers, 44, pleaded guilty Friday in Cleveland Municipal Court to two counts of aggravated vehicular assault, drunken driving a

nd l
eaving the scene of an accident. The trial was set to begin Monday.

Rogers had first pleaded not gui
lty following his arrest in July.

He could be sentenced to up to four years in prison, fined up to $10,000 and lose his license. Sentencing is scheduled for April 2.

A WCBS spokeswoman referred questions on Rogers' employment status to the personnel department, which was closed on Saturday.

Rogers is not listed among weather team members on the station's Web site, and a home telephone listing could not be found.
