Once again acting as a political police force, the RCMP arrested activist Glenn Bahr Monday morning in Vancouver and flew him to Edmonton to face” charges under Sec. 319 of the Canadian Criminal Code ”“ Canada's notorious ”hate” law, apparently for postings on the defunct Western Canada for Us website.
Glenn Bahr has a heart condition and has refused offers of free flights from friends in the past. He urgently asked the police not to force him to fly. They ignored his pleas. He risks a heart attack at high altitudes.
The Edmonton Police ”hate squad” has treated Glenn outrageously since he helped found Western Canada fo
r Us (WCFU) early last year. The group had held a number of successful meetings, one at which Melissa Guille of the Canadian Heritage Alliance and I spoke. WCFU held protests for political prisoner Ernst Zundel. Obviously, the prospect of an active patriotic group of young people frightened the political cops and their masters. In a deliberate effort to smash the group, the Edmonton ”hate squad” raided the apartment where Glenn was staying with a lady friend. They threatened her child and called social services because Glenn had ”hate” on his computer.
