Man Critical After Being Shot 7 Times

A man is in critical condition after being shot seven times in East Chattanooga on Friday afternoon.

The Chattanooga Police Crimes Against Persons Unit is investigating the shooting that occurred around 3:45 p.m. at 1316 Bradt St.

As officers were on there way to the scene they were advised that the victim had been transported to Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle.

Once at the hospital the victim was rushed to surgery. Once in surgery the physicians determined that due to the extent of the injuries the victim needed to be taken to Erlanger's Trauma Center for surgery.

Before going to surgery the victim was only able to give very vague details of what happened, off
cials said.

The only suspect information that he was able to give was that it was two young black males. He said that one of them had on a black bandana and was the one that was armed with th

e handgun that shot him. No additional
information is available on the other suspect.

The victim is 31-year-old Julian Caldwell of Chattanooga.
