Man Sought In Painters Street Shooting
NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police have issued an arrest warrant for a man wanted in connection with a Tuesday shooting that killed two teenagers and injured a woman, her son and another teen.
Shawn Collins, 26, faces two counts of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder.
The shooting occurred at about 8 p.m., in the 1900 block of Painters Street.
According to investigators, 5th District officers found the two fatally wounded 17-year-olds and the injured a 41-year-old woman and her 17-year-old son at the scene. A 14-year-old boy was found the next day at Charity
Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. The surviving vicitms are listed in stable condition.
