Arrests Made In Critical Shooting Outside West Bank Store
NEW ORLEANS -- An 18-year-old student walking home from school was shot in the head during an altercation in the parking lot of a west bank store, according to Jefferson Parish sheriff's deputies.

Two 16-year-old suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting, said police.
The shooting happened shortly after noon at a Walgreens at the corner of Wall and Lapalco boulevards.
Lionel Crain, of Marrero, is listed in critical condition at Charity Hospital.
According to investigat
ors, Crain and several others were walking home from Metro Christian Outreach School when Crain began arguing with someone in the group about
money. Someone produced a .22-caliber handgun and fired one shot, striking Crain in the head, police said.
Police said they know who the suspects are and they are looking for them.
The school's principal, Pastor Roberta Jackson, ran to the scene of the shooting. She said none of the students involved ever caused any problems. She also said something made her ask the students before they left to take extra care this weekend.
"God has created us with the ability to choose and decide," Jackson. "And it's up to us to do the right thing. We give them the word of God, but it's up to them to do the right thing."
