Toronto police have released images of two suspects wanted in connection with the violent robbery and sexual assault of a woman at a downtown condo building
in the Fashion District.

The incident happened in the area of Bathurst and King streets at around 12:45 a.m. on July 10, Toronto police said.

According to investigators, a 19-year-old woman was entering the elevator of a condominium building when two men entered the elevator behind her.

A struggle ensued when one of the men tried to grab the teen’s cell phone, police said.

When he wasn’t able to get the phone, the man allegedly pulled out a gun and robbed her.

Police said the woman was then violently dragged out of the elevator and sexually assaulted by both men in a nearby stairwell.

The man then went to the underground parking garage and fled in a vehicle.

The first suspect is described as a male in his early 20s. He stands between five-foot-eight and five-foot-ten. He is black, with a dark complexion, medium build, brown eyes, moustache and chin hair.
He was wearing a navy blue or black baseball cap with a white symbol on the front, a black short-sleeve shirt with vertical white stripes with a red and white star on the right arm, blue jeans, white “Gucci” brand sneakers, and “Gucci” brand Sunglasses.

The second suspect is described as being in his early 20s, between five-foot-eight and five-foot-ten. He is black with a dark complexion and has a medium build, brown eyes, moustache and goatee and corn row braids in his hair.
He was wearing a brown and beige camouflaged hooded sweatshirt, black baggy pants, and dark coloured shoes.

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault.

It has been reported that:

- on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at 12:45 a.m., in the Bathurst Street and King Street West area, a 19-year-old woman was entering the condominium elevator when two men entered the elevator behind her

- the man tried to rob her of her cell phone, a struggle ensued and she managed to maintain possession

- he then produced a hand gun and successfully robbed her of her cell phone

- she was then violently dragged out of the elevator and sexually assaulted in a nearby stairwell by both men

After the assault the men made their way to the underground parking garage and fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction.


The men are described as:

- Suspect #1: early 20’s, 5’8”-5’10”, black with a dark complexion, medium build, brown eyes, moustache and chin facial hair. He was wearing a navy blue or black baseball cap with a white symbol on front, black short sleeve shirt with vertical white stripes with a red and white star on right arm, blue jeans, white “Gucci” brand sneakers, and “Gucci” brand Sunglasses

- Suspect #2: early 20’s, 5’8”-5’10”, black with a dark complexion, medium build, brown eyes, moustache and goatee, corn row braids in hair. He was wearing a brown and beige camouflaged hooded sweat shirt, black baggy pants, and dark coloured shoes.

The suspect vehicle was described as a grey or silver coloured four-door Mazda with damage to rear passenger side bumper that appears to be secured with strips of black tape.

Second suspect charged in violent sex assault at downtown condo building: police

A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a violent sexual assault at a downtown condo building.

Toronto police have said that the incident occurred at a condo building near Bathurst and King streets at around 12:45 a.m. on July 10.

A 19-year-old woman was followed into the building's elevator by two men, according to police.

On July 13, police announced that they arrested a suspect in the case.

Shane Acton Codrington, 24, of Toronto has been charged with numerous offences, including two counts of sexual assault with a weapon, two counts of aggravated sexual assault and forcible confinement.

On Wednesday, police said that they have now charged a second suspect in the case.

Jevor Oshane Brown, 24, of Toronto was arrested on July 16. He has been charged with robbery with a firearm, forcible confinement, two counts of sexual assault with a weapon, two counts of aggravated sexual assault, assault, and gang sexual assault.


On Wednesday, police said that they have now charged a second suspect in the case.
