Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) said during a Sunday appearance on MSNBC’s The Weekend that his constituents would “rise up” against “tyranny” if President Donald Trump sends in the National Guard to crack down on crime as recently seen in Washington, D.C.

“We’re gonna remain firm, we’ll take legal action, but the people in this city are accustomed to rising up against tyranny. If that’s necessary, I believe that the people of Chicago will stand firm alongside of me as I work every single day to protect the people of this city,” Johnson said.

According to a recent article in The Washington Post, the Department of Defense has been planning a deployment of National Guard soldiers in the streets of Chicago for several weeks.

Responding to President Trump recently calling him “a grossly incompetent mayor,” Johnson stuttered and accused POTUS of contemplating “the most flagrant violation of our Constitution in the 21st Century.”

He also claimed Trump is attempting “to conquer cities across America.”

Democrats and mainstream media outlets continue pushing manipulated crime data claiming overall and violent crime are going down in Chicago despite locals experiencing danger every day.

After witnessing crime in D.C. dropping dramatically, many citizens in blue cities are welcoming the National Guard to come in an clean up their areas.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), the de facto leader of the Democrat Party, claimed the left never used rhetoric fueling the volatile political climate that led to Charlie Kirk’s assassination, prompting internet users to push back with clips showing Democrats issuing numerous veiled calls for violence.

During Crockett’s interview with The Breakfast Club on Friday, she dismissed labeling President Donald Trump “a wannabe Hitler,” blaming the president instead for inspiring violence – despite often depicting Trump and his supporters as fascist Nazis, conditioning many on the left to believe it’s ok to assault them.

Crockett next claimed, “I literally have never said anything to invoke violence!” going on to say, “And I challenge somebody to go and find a clip of a Democrat invoking violence.”

X users responded in kind, posting clips where Crockett herself has used violent imagery to discuss politics.

On Friday, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) revealed ammo belonging to Kirk’s alleged assassin Tyler Robinson, 22, bore inscriptions reading “Hey fascist! Catch!” and other leftist messaging.

The left is desperately trying to shift blame for Kirk’s murder on to the right, but it’s clear they’re the ones that have for years been indoctrinating followers to view their political opponents as existential threats that must be destroyed at all costs.

Ex-President Barack Obama suggested the Trump administration’s “extreme views” may have led to the murder of prominent conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Speaking at the Jefferson Educational Society in Erie, Pa., on Tuesday, Obama criticized the Trump administration for chastising the left following Kirk’s public execution last week, alleging his own administration never demonized political opponents.

“As president of the United States, my response was not: Who may have influenced this troubled young man to engage in that kind of violence? And now let me go after my political opponents and use that,” Obama said.

Continuing, Obama blamed the Trump administration for turning up the temperature with heated political rhetoric, claiming his own White House never espoused “extreme views.”

“When I hear not just our current president, but his aides, who have a history of calling political opponents ‘vermin,’ enemies who need to be ‘targeted,’ that speaks to a broader problem that we have right now, and something that we’re going to have to grapple with — all of us,” Obama said.

“Whether we’re Democrats, Republicans, independents, we have to recognize that on both sides, undoubtedly, there are people who are extremists and who say things that are contrary to what I believe are America’s core values.”

“But I will say that those extreme views were not in my White House. I wasn’t embracing them. I wasn’t empowering them. I wasn’t putting the weight of the United States government behind extremist views,” he said. “And that is…when we have the weight of the United States government behind extremist views, we’ve got a problem.“

Elsewhere during the event, Obama had to signal his audience to stop clapping after he claimed he believed Kirk’s ideas “were wrong.”

Obama’s deflection comes as many on the left have falsely attempted to claim Kirk murder suspect Tyler Robinson possessed right-wing political views, despite substantial amounts of evidence to the contrary.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) told reporters on Monday that President Trump and conservative Americans want “a rematch of the Civil War.”

Asked about the ongoing legal battle over Trump attempting to send National Guard troops from other states to Chicago and Oregon, Johnson said, “A couple of years ago, I said very candidly that the right-wing in this country wants a rematch of the Civil War. I want that to sit in right now because the President of the United States of America has declared war on the people of Chicago and people across America.”

Continuing, the mayor absurdly claimed the America First president is more concerned with giving other countries billions of dollars “while farmers in urban cities around this country are literally being destabilized.”

Mayor Johnson next bizarrely defended locals in Chicago who are volunteering to “make sure we’re protecting children from being from their families,” saying they’re “literally putting themselves at risk of being shot and killed by the federal government.”

It’s unclear who Johnson was referring to, but it could have been the radical leftist woman who was shot over the weekend after ramming into a Border Patrol vehicle while armed with a rifle.

As Democrats allege POTUS wants a civil war, they are actively trying to foment that exact scenario in order to claim they were correct in predicting he’s a dictator when he finally cracks down on their insurrection.

Federal immigration officers have been warned that gang members in the Chicago area are authorized to open fire on them amid surging violence in the sanctuary state of Illinois.

Customs and Border Protection circulated an internal Officer Safety Alert that was obtained by NewsNation correspondent Ali Bradley.

“On November 8, 2025, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) received credible information indicating that Latin Kings leadership has authorized a ‘shoot on sight’ directive targeting immigration officer/agents conducting immigration enforcement activities in support of Operation Midways Blitz in Chicago and surrounding areas,” the notification states.

“Officer/agents are reminded to maintain heightened situational awareness and exercise extreme caution when conducting enforcement activities.”

On Saturday, a male suspect fired shots at U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agents during street battles that reportedly raged for hours in Chicago.

“Agents shot at, vehicular assaults, physical assaults, impeding, violent mobs, vehicular blockades, illegal aliens – this was what agents were up against FOR HOURS today as they once again successfully conducted Title 8 immigration enforcement in Chicago,” USBP Commander Gregory Bovino stated following the mayhem.

Illegal aliens and radical leftists become increasingly brazen in their resistance to immigration law enforcement.
