Rapper Indicted For Failing To File Federal Income Tax

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Michael Tyler, better known as the Grammy-nominated rapper Mystikal, faces more trouble with the law.
U.S. Attorney David Dugas, of Baton Rouge, and Special Agent in Charge Michael Nelson, of the IRS field office in New Orleans, announced Friday that Tyler is charged with two counts of failing to file federal income tax returns.
A bill of information, which outlines the charges, alleges that Tyler failed to file returns for 1998, when he had a gross income of $824,915, and for 1999, when his gross income was $930,953.
If convicted, Tyler faces up to a year in jail on each count.

, Tyler was sentenced to six years in prison for sexual batte
ry for forcing his hair stylist to perform what the judge called "continuous sex acts."
The victim accused Tyler and two bodyguards of forcing her to perform oral sex after they accused her of stealing $80,000 worth of his checks. She denied stealing any money.
In imposing sentence, District Judge Tony Marabella said he had seen a videotape that the men made of the events and said it was definitely not consensual. Marabella said the victim was "terrorized
