Crime Stoppers offers reward in double murder case

Two Houston families are asking for the public's help in finding a murderer.

Back in September, two men were gunned down and now the search is on for their killer.

For two families, the pain is all too real. Chaz Kettner was just a day away from his 21st birthday. Kettner and Nick Munoz, 20, were fatally shot at a Shell gas station near Beltway 8 and Westheimer back on September 13.

Authorities say there were plenty of witnesses around when the shooting happened. But so far, no one has come forward with any information that could help investigators find their killer.

The family hopes that the newly released security images will help someone remember what
r
happened that night.

Police say that the two men met with a third person at the gas station who arri
ved in a green truck. Moments later, Munoz was seen running from the car. He'd already been shot.

Authorities know very little about the killer, only that he's African-American. The security camera images don't show much more, but it does show a white car that left the shooting shortly after it happened.

"I know somebody saw it, somebody had to have seen it," said one of the victim's family member. "I just ask you to please come forward. Have the heart. Have a conscious. You know everybody has family and siblings. Maybe not everyone has siblings, but everyone has family. But regardless, everyone has someone that they love in this world and to be taken away at such a young is such a tragedy."

Authorities do believe there are some witnesses out there that have not come forward. Police especially want to talk to the driver of the white ca
r s
een in the video driving away from the scene of the crime.

If you have any information in the double murder, you're asked to call Crime Stop
pers at 713-222-TIPS. There is up to a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
