Gulfport Police arrest shooting suspect​

GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - Gulfport Police arrested Khalil Jakeith Vickers, 28, and charged him with one count of aggravated assault on Friday.
Officers were called to the 9100 block of Highway 49 around 4:35 p.m.

Officers then found a victim suffering from several gunshot wounds.
Investigators said the victim and Vickers got into an argument before Vickers allegedly shot the victim multiple times.

Police said the victim tried to escape, but Vickers continued to shoot at him before running away.

Officers later found Vickers and arrested him without incident.

The victim is in the hospital and is in critical condition.

Vickers is being held on a $250,000 bond set by Judge Patano.
