New charges in South Richmond dogfighting case

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A man accused of running a dog fighting operation out of his South Richmond home now faces new charges.

A grand jury indicted Richard Robinson, 32, on three new felonies. The charges range from animal cruelty to training dogs to fight.

In June, animal control officers seized 12 pitbulls from his property. Ten of them were so badly injured, they had to be put down.
