Child Abuse Case in Delaware

WILMINGTON, DE-May 15, 2005 ”” A man from Wilmington is under arrest, accused of abusing his girlfriend's child.

Police say 19-year-old Jerome Joynes assaulted his girlfriend's 9-month-old son because the baby was crying.

They live on East 42nd Street.

The boy was listed in critical condition Sunday morning. He has a fractured skull.

Joynes is in jail.
