Corey Pujols, 27, is accused of punching the elderly customer at a Dunkin' store in a Marathon gas station in Tampa, Florida, May 4
Pujols said the man was a regular customer and was 'extremely rude' that day
Pujols, who is black, said the customer then repeatedly called him a racial slur
He allegedly punched the unidentified man, 77, once in the face, causing him to fall backwards and hit his head on the concrete floor
He was taken to Tampa General Hospital but died two days later
Pujols is charged with aggravated manslaughter of a person older than 65

The incident was captured on the store's surveillance camera, with the footage showing the customer did not touch Pujols first, reported Tampa Bay Times.
