MANCHESTER, England -- British police have arrested 10 people in Manchester on suspicion of terrorist offenses. It came during a series of raids Monday.
Greater Manchester Police said the suspects were arrested "on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism." There was no word on the suspects' identities.
Police also searched several properties in the
ity. A take-out restaurant south of the city center was cordoned off and guarded by uniformed officers.
Last month, police arrested several men and seized more than a half-ton of a potentially ex
