Man arrested in connection with his wife's shooting death

LEXINGTON, SC (WACH) — A Lexington County man has been charged in connection with the shooting death of his wife.
Alonzo James Riley, 33, is charged with murder in connection with the death of Kia Riley.
Officials say based on the evidence they were able to collect the scene of Alonzo Riley's home, Riley came home and used a handgun to shoot his unarmed wife. An off-duty police officer who lives near Alonzo Riley's home on Sprahler Street says he saw Alonzo leave his home around the time of the shooting.
Kia Riley suffered multiple shots to her upper body.
While Lexington County investigators and Gaston officers were investigating, officers say Alonzo Riley came home with a handgun matching the caliber of shell casings that were recovered at the scene.
