Police Arrest Two in Buckhannon Man's Murder
Minneapolis Police arrest two suspects wanted in connection with the death of Michael Zebuhr.

The Minneapolis police have made two arrests in the shooting death of a former Buckhannon man. The police say five subhumans were involved in the robbery of Michael Zebuhr and his family, last month.

One of those subhumans shot Zebuhr in the head. He later died.

Now police have two people in custody. The two suspects that are now in custody are 22 year old Lasonya Miles and a 17 year old j
uvenile.

The police in Minneapolis have also issued a warrant for the arrest of an additional juvenile they believe was involved
in the crime. But Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak says this investigation is far from over.

Minneapolis Police Chief William McManus announced that his department had made the arrests. Police are still on the look out for the get-a-way car and other suspects. Chief McManus says while there are other suspects wanted for the crime the two in custody now are the biggest piece to the puzzle.

Here in West Virginia news that police had made arrests in the case brought a ray of hope to those who knew Michael Zebuhr.

Randall Roy was Zebuhr's wrestling coach at Buckhannon Upshur High School. Roy says that Zebuhr was a good athlete and an even better student.

While the investigation continues in Minneapolis, folks here in Buckhannon are still hoping everyone responsible is brought to justice.

Zebuhr's family is at a vigil at Clemson University in memory of their son.

Zebuhr had recently bought a small house in Clemson that he was renovating himself, Benson said. "It's a fixer-upper and he's capable enough to do the work himself," she said.

He made clear the depth of his compassion when Hurricane Katrina evacuees ended up in South Carolina. "He was one of the first people here to reach out," Benson said. "He showed up with a carful of household goods and appliances, this poor graduate student just trying to help out people in need," Benson said.[/b]

(Minneapolis-AP) August 1, 2006 - An 18-year-old Minneapolis woman has been sentenced to one year in jail for lying under oath about a robbery and fatal shooting of a Clemson University student in Minneapolis in March.
Twenty-five-year-old Michael Zebuhr was a doctoral candidate in bioengineering at Clemson who was visiting his sister when he was killed.
Lasonya Denise Miles pleaded guilty to one felony count of accomplice after the fact earlier this month.
District Judge John Somerville also sentenced her to five years of probation.
Two 17-year-olds, Billy Ray Deshawn Johnson and Donte Lamar Jacobs, each face one count of first-degree murder in the death. No trial date has been set.
Thirty-three-year-old Derrick Lamon Johnson has been charged with second-degree arson and being accomplice after the fact.
