tion, all family members.

Officers have conducted 32 searches on a number of area homes, businesses and bank accounts, shutting down eight grow operations. They also seized $1.1 million in cash, more than 1,000 plants, $100,000 in growing equipment, two sports cars and a number of computers. Searches are continuing and figures will be updated as information is received.

Mai Le's organization operated large-scale marihuana grow houses across the city and distributed the drug to the United States, laundering the proceeds through both real and fictitious companies. It would also launder money for other Canadian and American criminal organizations involved in drugs (e.g. marihuana and ecstasy
).
