IMPD names man shot by officer; 2 suspects charged

NDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police on Monday identified the man shot and killed by an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer over the weekend. They also released the names of two men charged in connection to the robbery that prompted the shooting.
An officer shot 22-year-old Terrell Lucas Saturday night; he later died.
Lucas was one of three masked men who robbed a GameStop, holding employees at gunpoint, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials said. Lucas ran from police and refused to drop his weapon, IMPD officials said.
Police arrested 21-year-old Jalil Hannah and 23-year-old Water Fells III, who IMPD characterized as Lucas’ accomplices. All three men are from Chicago.
The Marion County prosecutor’s office charged Hannah and Fells with murder, robbery and criminal confinement.
