A 33-year-old migrant from Mexico was busted for attacking two NYPD cops who tried to cuff him for a street brawl in Queens, law enforcement sources said.
Mauricio David Sosa had just punched another 33-year-old man in the face during a clash on Gleane Street near Baxter Avenue in Elmhurst around midnight Tuesday when officers responded to the scene, authorities and sources said.
When the cops tried to arrest Sosa, he turned on them – slugging one in the face and kicking another in the lower stomach, cops said.
Sosa was arrested and charged with two counts of felony assault – for punching the officers – as well as a misdemeanor assault rap for the initial attack, and resisting arrest, police said.
Both officers refused medical attention for their injuries.

Sosa had repeatedly tried to enter the US at the southern border, with the fourth time being the charm, sources told The Post.
He was stopped during his first three attempts – and each time opted for voluntary removal from the country although the timeline wasn’t clear, the sources said.
Sosa, who currently lives in Jersey City, has no prior arrests in the Big Apple, cops said.
