DENVER -- Denver police say a series of assaults along Colfax Avenue are related and they need the public's help in finding a suspect.
Police said in all three incidents, a black man about 6 feet tall with a medium build, attacks someone with a knife or sharp object.
The attacks have happened between 10 p.m. and midnight, said police spokesman Sonny Jackson.
The first incident happened on April 6 on the northwest corner of Colfax and North Irving Street. The second happened on May 4 to a person who was standing at the Vrain/Winona bus stop on Colfax waiting for a bus. The th
ird happened on May 30 while the victim was walking eastbound on the south side of W. Colfax at about Wolff Street, Jackson said.
In two of the three cases, the victim's sustained minor injuries, but Denver police still consider the suspect to be extremely dangerous, he said.
Denver police are asking the public to be alert along the west Colfax corridor, especially at RTD bus stops, and to report any suspicious persons or activities in this area. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
