Estrada terminated from Reidland Middle School amid rape allegations

PADUCAH — Reidland Middle School employee Julio Estrada, who was charged last week with third-degree rape and first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, was terminated Wednesday from McCracken County Schools, the school district announced Thursday night.
Estrada was suspended from the school district with pay, per district policy, last week following the arrest. He appeared in court earlier Thursday to waive his preliminary hearing and agreed to proceed with a trial. He remains in McCracken County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
According to McCracken County Sheriff's Office, the investigation into Estrada began when a juvenile girl reported that he engaged in illegal sexual contact with her about a year ago.
The school district's full statement is below:
Julio Estrada, the employee at Reidland Middle School who was arrested by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, was immediately placed on paid suspension in accordance with board policy. Following review, his employment with McCracken County Schools was terminated on September 24, 2025.
McCracken County Schools continues to cooperate fully with law enforcement on this very serious matter. All questions regarding the charges should be directed to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
