Man allegedly threatened cops, claimed ISIS affiliation

Police are looking for a man who may be armed and prepared to kill police officers in the name of ISIS in New York and Philadelphia, authorities said.
An anonymous tipster called police and said Marcus Shelton, 36, (pictured) “may have pledged his allegiance to ISIS, and has threatened to shoot police officers,” according to a poster circulated among cops.
“We do know who the individual is and we’re actively looking for him right now,” Chief Thomas Galati, commanding officer of the NYPD’s intelligence division, said Wednesday. “But at this point we’re only looking for him to speak with him about this threat. This isn’t a probable cause to arrest at this time. We just need to find him and have a conversation.”
Officials said the Shelton has several addresses in New York, including those in Harlem and The Bronx.
Officers are being warned to use extreme caution if they encounter him, Shelton is also wanted for other active warrants against him, sources said.
