Man arrested for arson that killed dog in Dauphin County

DAUPHIN COUNTY, PA. — On Saturday morning, Swatara Police responded to reports of a person threatening to burn down a house during a domestic dispute on the 200 block of N. 32nd Street.

According to officials, they arrived to find the house heavily engulfed in flames.

Investigators from the Swatara Township Police and Dauphin County Fire Investigation Team determined that the fire was intentionally set by 28-year-old Armonte Hamilton.

Firefighters from the Paxtang Fire Company and other local agencies extinguished the fire.

According to officials, no people were injured, but a one-year-old Pit bull died in the fire.
