At 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Crime Stoppers and told deputies where to find 28-year-old Tavaris Davon Davis. An hour later, Davis was arrested outside of a residence at 5403 NW 26 Ave. in Tamarac.

Broward sheriff's detectives said that on April 29, Davis stormed into an apartment at 2099 N.W. 26th Ave. near Fort Lauderdale a

round 3:30 a.m. and opened fire. The apartment was occupied by Neville Magnus, 25; Krystal Whitt, 20; and
Nordam Blair, 27.

One round grazed Whitt's face, and Magnus was hit several times. Deputies said that Davis then turned and shot Blair's pit bull in the left leg before demanding cash.

Blair said she feared for her life, so she gave Davis money.

Detectives said that Davis then fled the scene in a black four-door Nissan Maxima.

Magnus was transported to Broward General Medical Center, where he underwent surgery. He is continuing to recover. Whitt was treated at the scene.

Davis is charged with armed robbery with a firearm, armed burglary with a firearm, attempted murder and cruelty to an animal.
