New Sangatte will mean more illegal immigrants
15th April 2007
News article filed by BNP news team
A new refugee camp at Sangatte, near Calais, will mean an increase in illegal immigrants entering Britain. British politicians have reacted angrily after the Mayor of Sangatte said that the camp, which was being built beside the ferry terminal, was to enable the illegals to cross the Channel to England "as soon as possible".
The French claim that rioting among migrants had made the camp necessary. At the camp, immigrants will be given showers, food and free clothing. There will be medical facilities, toilets and an information centre.
The complex will be able to deal with 500 immigrants at a time, and will be ready within weeks. The French have been accused of going back on a deal struck several years ago, saying that there would be no facilities in Calais which would encourage immigrants to come to the UK.
The Home Office are not reacting to the building of the new camp.
