There was no officers at the station, only the police department’s secretary, who asked a 911 dispatcher to have borough Police Chief Martin Jeirles call her at once. (Ain't there grammer good too?)
Jeirles said he was not at all happy that police weren’t alerted sooner.
“I was frustrated and upset that 911 was not called immediately,”��”�� Jeirles said.
The robber, who was described as black, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt tied tightly around his face and sunglasses, remained at large Thursday night.
Jeirles acknowledged that the caller had warned the bank not to call police.
