Woman accused of abusing child at Upstate daycare arrested​

LAURENS, S.C. (WSPA) – A worker was arrested after allegedly abusing a child at an Upstate daycare.
According to the Laurens Police Department, on May 1, officers received a report of an alleged incident of child abuse at the Tender Loving and Care Child Development Center (TLC), located at 1405 West Main Street.
After an investigation revealed video evidence sustaining the allegations, an arrest warrant for unlawful conduct toward a child was issued for 27-year-old Salathia Guest, who was a newly hired employee of the daycare.
Guest was taken into custody on Friday. She is currently being held at the Johnson Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
Officials said information gathered through the investigation indicates the alleged abuse was an isolated incident.
