A Schenectady man in court today to face charges he killed his then-girlfriend's dog.

28-year-old Kenya Bunch was arraigned on one count of aggravated animal cruelty and one count of menacing.

Investigators say Bunch repeatedly stabbed an 8-month-old pitbull pup back on february 20th during a domestic dispute.

The dog's spinal cord was severed and it had to be put down. Bunch was picked up yesterday on a warrant.

He's being held at the Schenectady County jail...the DAs office says it intends to take his case to a grand jury as soon as tomorrow.
