Ragnarok Revisited

Co-written by Richard Scutari, Bruders Schweigen POW & Richard Miller, SNW Kindred

Around 6,000 years ago, our Indo-European ancestors began the great migrations from the Russian Steppes into Europe: Thracians to Greece, Italics to Italy, Kelts to Italy, Gaul, Spain, the British Isles and Iceland and the Germanic tribes to every part of Europe. As our ancestors travelled on this trek, this great migration, they conquered and assimilated the local inhabitants. The Aesir and Vanir Wars of the Norse Myths are a perfect example of this. Their languages retained the same root beginnings, but each evolved separately due to the successive waves of migrating tribes and geographical isolation from one another. Likewise, their gods all stemmed from the same root, but took on local flavorings as their names reflected the various evolved languages.

At the dawn of a new millennium, there is a rumbling across the land, and the old gods are re-awakening within the collective unconsciousness[1] of our Folk. It matters not from what part of Europe one's ancestors come, their gods were all the same and all remain in our collective subconscious. Today, this awakening is best expressed by Wotanism / Odinism, updated to fit today's times. Many in our movement want to put on furs and horned helmets and recreate the Viking age. While traditional garb may be appropriate for ceremony and ritual, the Viking Age and all its superstitions is long past and we live in the real world. But Wotanism is timeless; it is alive and well and has evolved to fit today's needs in today's world.

The noted Aryan philosopher and National Socialist Savitri Devi stated in her classical work, The Lightning and the Sun: "The truth is that there is no other God but the imminent, impersonal divinity of Nature, of life, the universal Self. No tribal god is 'God.' Tribal gods are more or less divine, to the extant they embody and express a more or less divine collective soul."

Our tribal gods not only represent the elements in Nature which our ancestors had no other way of describing, but also, represent our collective soul. Wotan / Odin is representative of the collective wisdom of our Folk. Thor, our collective strength; Tyr, our collective courage and will to self-sacrifice for the good of the whole; Heimdal represents our collective vigilance, etc. The gods of our ancestors have never died, but have always lived in the folk soul as a whole, waiting for our time of need to reappear. Our traditional ethnic gods are real, just as the prophecy of the sibyl in the Völuspa concerning Ragnarok is real.

Ragnarok is not an event that is going to take place in the distant future. We are living within the cold confines of the Fimbal Winter and under the shadow of Ragnarok right now! All the Aryan tribes have gathered from all parts of Europe for the final battle on the field of Vigrid. Vigrid is not an imaginary place: it is a place where the powers against us have their greatest strength. The field of Vigrid is right here in Vinland!

Our ancestors started to live under the shadow of Ragnarok when Christianity began making inroads amongst the various Aryan nations. This was the time when the world-rejecting[2] alien philosophies were introduced to the world-accepting[3] Aryan tribes.

Looking back in history, one can clearly see events which are the direct result of the Fimbal Winter and a foreshadowing of the Ragnarok to come. Loki tricked the blind god, Hodur, into killing his brother Balder. Hodur represents the blind ignorance and darkness that has pulled our Folk away from our Aryan ways. Balder exemplifies the intrinsic racial consciousness and virtues of our folk soul: ergo, blind ignorance has killed our folk soul. In clear and specific terms, which demonstrates that we are living under the shadow of Ragnarok, Loki symbolizes the ultimate race traitor, the enemy within. He is a member of the Folk whose heart was poisoned by jealousy and spite, which representative of the alien influence. Hodur exemplifies the Allies of World War II, while Balder embodies the bright, folkish, Aryan ideals evident in National Socialist Germany.

Fimbal Winter brings on Ragnarok, when the Sun and the Moon are taken away, which is symbolic of our Folk turning away from their instinctual nature. The tribes became imbalanced and our nature fell out of harmony, causing coldness to form in our hearts and minds. Our Folk lost their natural instincts and became Universalists, Egalitarian and materialistic. The Fimbal Winter is the coldness in the hearts and minds of our people.

The wolves being let loose is representative of philosophies, alien beliefs and the forces arrayed against us, while the Valkyries are symbolic of the folk soul and race consciousness awakening in the Einherjar. This awakening (Valkyries) carries the Einherjar to their abode, Valhalla.[4] The Einherjar are those of our Folk who have awakened to their race soul. Their past life has died and they are reborn as warriors for our Folk .The gods are symbolic of the sacrifices needed to rally the forces of our Folk which are necessary in order to bring about the regeneration. The "evil" dead are none other than our own race traitors.

The killing of Wotan by the wolf Fenris is representative of the destruction of the old order which is requisite in bringing about the rebirth. Vidar the Avenger slays Fenris, bringing on the conflagration, the cleansing fire of battle spreading throughout the White world, a cleansing which restores our Folk to their ancient wisdom. Surt, who slays Fray, likewise symbolizes the renewal. After the final battle is played out on the plain of Vigrid, the regeneration will echo through the collective consciousness of our Folk worldwide.

The myths tell us that mortal man, Lif (life) and mortal woman, Lifthrasir (eager for life), survive Ragnarok. Lif and Lifthrasir represent those of our folk who survive the final battle. They are protected and nourished by the dew from Hodmimir's Wood (Yggdrasill), also known as the World Tree of Life. The dew is symbolic of the seeds of blood and culture.

Gimli, the new Asgard, is symbolic of the minds of our Folk reawakening to the indigenous knowledge and beliefs of our ancestors. Gimli survives the conflagration unscathed, bringing on a new Folk consciousness based on the old—the Fourth Reich. Also, surviving the Ragnarok destruction is Nidhog, the dragon, to remind us that it can happen again if we slip in our vigilance and allow alien influence or beliefs to contaminate our Folk and culture again.

In the myths, Vidar and Vali return to the field of Idavoll after the battle of Ragnarok. Vidar who avenged our fallen wisdom and knowledge by slaying Fenris, and Vali, who avenged the death of Balder by slaying Hodur, the blind ignorance that brought about Balder's demise, are representative of the types of imperishable forces of Nature. On the field of Idavoll they are met by Modi and Magni, Thor's sons, who are the personifications of strength and courage; in other words, the collective will and spirit of the Folk. Idavoll is depicted as the field where the gods of old were wont to sport, which describes Europe before the inundation of alien Christianity. Idavoll was the place where the gods would play their war games, games which tested the mettle of our Folk, making them a strong and hardy people. Following the imposition of Christianity, the wars were at the behest of the Christian church to honor the name of the Judaic god, all to the bane of our indigenous European culture.

The beginning of the regeneration reverberating through our race soul brings back to Europe the bright Aryan virtues, collective will and spirit and will bring about a new Folk consciousness. Further evidence that the regeneration will carry over to Europe (Idavoll) is in the myths, which have Vidar, Vali, Modi, and Magni meeting up with Hoenir, who is no longer in exile and who represents the developing forces. They meet on the field of Idavoll and it is there where Balder rises from the dead, together with his brother Hodur, with whom he is reconciled. This is symbolic of the right Aryan virtues that were evident in National Socialism being resurrected by the Folk and reconciled with their Kin.

To reiterate, the old gods are yet alive! They are alive within the collective unconsciousness of our Folk. However, their deaths are inevitable, as they close out the old order and bring on the regeneration. This is a symbolic death in our Folk soul which allows us to take the next step in our evolutionary Journey towards the Übermensch and Homo Galactica.

Valhalla is our abode!
Ragnarok our task!
The 14 Words our battle cry!
Regeneration our reward!

"Cattle die, Kinsmen die
You and I, too, shall one day die
The only thing that I know which live forever
Are the deeds of brave men."

—The Hávamál

Go out and live forever, Kinsmen!

Footnotes

1. Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961), founder of Analytical Psychology postulated with his theory that there is not only an individual unconscious, but, also a collective unconscious, including a racial or ethnic unconscious impacting significantly upon the race and determining its vary being and culture.

2. World-rejecting: Christianity's goal is not for this world in which we must all live. Its tenets are anti-Nature and its adherents strive for the "next life." All Christian beliefs are in preparation of the hereafter and to hell with those who are concerned with surviving and preparing their children for this one.

3. World-accepting: The religion of our ancestors strived to be in tune with Nature and surviving in this life with the realities of the world we know. The ultimate goal of the religion of our ancestors is the regeneration after Ragnarok which our race survives and continues its evolution in this world.

4. Valhalla—The importance of Valhalla (Hall of the Slain) is to continue the remembrance of our Warrior Heroes (The Einherjar) as they live on in the hearts and minds of our people. Every time their brave deeds are remembered, the Einherjar step through the doors of Valhalla to fight. For example, when the heroic deeds of Bob Mathews are recounted and hailed, he visits us from Valhalla to fight, only to return again to feast and drink with the other heroes of our Folk.

There are only two ways to achieve immortality in the real world:

1) Through biological offspring in whom one's genes live on.

2) Brave deeds being remembered in the hearts and minds of the folk.
