Children as young as three years old have been referred to Britain’s socialised medicine’s ‘Gender Identity Development Service’ transgender clinic, with hundreds of young children referred in the past decade.
382 children aged six and under have been referred to the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) in the Tavistock and Portman Trust, known commonly as the National Health Service’s transgender clinic, in the past ten years new figures from the Trust reveal. The numbers, published by the Daily Mail, reveal how even the youngest children have been pushed into interacting with the controversial clinic, and that the numbers being referred to GIDS have soared in recent years.
The clinic, which has no official younger age limit to those it will see, has had 12 three-year-olds referred to it between 2010 and 2020, as well as 61 four-year-olds, 140 five-year-olds, and 169 six-year-olds. The number of young people being sent to GIDS year-on-year shows how quickly the concept is spreading, with 136 referrals in 2010-11 to 3,585 a decade later.
It has been previously reported that the clinic “treated” some 19,000 children of all ages in 25 years.

The Daily Mail report also cited the Tavistock Clinic’s own attempt to defend the figures, insisting that while it accepted referrals for three-year-olds, it didn’t actually perform what they euphemistically call “treatment” on the infants. Instead, it was said, “staff normally [hold] a ‘one-off discussion’ with parents or carers to provide support and advice.”
The Tavistock Trust’s gender clinic was supposed to be shut down in disgrace after news of what actually happened to children there became public knowledge thanks to whistleblowers. The service was found to be “inadequate” and that “some patients were referred on to a gender transitioning pathway too quickly” with some children put on puberty blockers after just one consultation.
The Association of Clinical Psychologists UK (ACP-UK) have said shutting down the clinic was “precipitated by a number of systemic failings” including having an “approach that was predominantly affirmative, rather than exploratory”. In reality, the closure of the clinic has been delayed by at least a year as the NHS wants to set up more trans clinics to replace it.
Over a thousand families are reported to be launching legal action against the clinic for misdiagnosing their children and in many cases allegedly caused enormous harm, including teenagers having body parts cut off.

‘F*** The Ohio Senate’: Leftists Lose Their Minds After State Lawmakers Override Veto, Ban Child Sex Changes

Democrats and liberal activists on social media were outraged Wednesday after the Ohio Senate overrode a veto of a bill banning transgender medical procedures for minors.
The state Senate voted Wednesday 28 to 4 to pass a bill that would ban sex-change surgeries, cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers for minors, and overrode Republican Gov. Mike DeWine’s veto from December after the House passed the legislation on Jan. 10. Activists and Democrats, however, went after the Ohio GOP, and even former President Donald Trump, for the decision on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
“F**k the Ohio Senate who voted 23-9 to override the veto of HB68. It will go into effect on May 30. Join our partners for tomorrow night’s town hall,” the Ohio Women’s Alliance Action Fund wrote in a post.

The X account for the Ohio Democrats also bemoaned the decision in a post, arguing that the bill was in defiance of the “medical community.”
“Today Ohio becomes the most restrictive state in the country for gender-affirming healthcare. Corrupt politicians yet again stripped healthcare freedom — defying the medical community who testified against HB68. November proved Ohioans are ready for change and, next election…,” the group wrote.

Kelley Robinson, director of the Human Rights Campaign, chastised Republicans and Trump for overturning DeWine’s veto, according to a post.

“The Ohio Senate joins the House in overriding Gov. Mike DeWine’s veto of HB 68, a bill that bans gender-affirming care for minors and transgender girls from participating in school sports,” the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland wrote.

Planned Parenthood also chimed in, calling it a “devastating day,” according to a post.
“The Ohio Senate has overridden the veto of House Bill 68 with a vote of 23-9. House Bill 68 will go into effect in 90 days. This is a devastating day for trans-Ohioans and their families,” PP Advocates of Ohio wrote.

DeWine vetoed the ban in late December but signed an executive order banning just child sex-change surgeries a week later and the Ohio governor claimed that parents, not the government, should decide in these matters. DeWine also received $40,000 between 2018 and 2023 from several Ohio children’s hospitals that the governor visited to talk to families about the bill.
Dan Tierney, DeWine’s press secretary, previously told the Daily Caller News Foundation that “the Governor does not have [a] new comment today. His previous comments on the bill and his veto reflect his position on the issue.”
Following Ohio’s vote, nearly half of the states in the United States have put in place legislation to ban sex-change procedures for minors, according to PBS NewsHour.

NHS's entire gender treatment model for children is demolished in bombshell report: Teens suffered irreversible changes based on 'remarkably weak evidence', 'toxic' debate taints key issues - and schools are ALSO blasted by eminent doctor

Children given NHS transgender treatment have been set on a path of irreversible change despite scant medical data, a report has concluded.
NHS gender identity services for children and young people have been based on 'remarkably weak evidence', the independent review by leading paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass warned.
Her study, commissioned nearly four years ago, makes 32 recommendations to overhaul NHS trans services to improve the care that children receive.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak welcomed the report and called for 'extreme caution' in treating youngsters in the future.

■ Dr Cass said the 'toxicity of the debate' over trans care for children was 'exceptional' – and revealed she was herself singled out for criticism during her work;
■ The report said there was a 'lack of high-quality research' on the effects of giving children puberty blockers and hormones, and recommended that NHS England establish its own research programme;
■ Long NHS waiting lists were said to have driven trans children into the arms of private clinics, with GPs 'pressurised to prescribe';
■ Dr Cass laid the groundwork for schools to introduce clearer guidance when dealing with trans children, ending the exclusion of parents;
■ The report called for the creation a separate service for those wanting to 'de-transition', where a gender transition is stopped or reversed;
■ Dr Cass recommended a 'follow-through service' for 17 to 25-year-olds to protect teenagers 'falling off a cliff edge' in care when they hit 17.
■ NHS England launched a similar review of adult gender services led by an independent expert.

Dr Cass warned that her review had been hampered by how polarised the debate on trans care for children has become. She said medical professionals had been left '[too] afraid to openly discuss their views'.
Dr Cass said: 'Despite the best intentions of everyone with a stake in this complex issue, the toxicity of the debate is exceptional.
'I have faced criticism for engaging with groups and individuals who take a social justice approach and advocate for gender affirmation, and have equally been criticised for involving groups and individuals who urge more caution.
'This is an area of remarkably weak evidence, and yet results of studies are exaggerated or misrepresented by people on all sides of the debate.
'There are few other areas of healthcare where professionals are so afraid to openly discuss their views, where people are vilified on social media, and where name-calling echoes the worst bullying behaviour. This must stop.
'Polarisation and stifling of debate do nothing to help the young people caught in the middle of a stormy social discourse, and in the long run will also hamper the research that is essential to finding the best way of supporting them to thrive.'

Dr Cass described having come into contact with some 'very aggressive people' during meetings as part of her work. The report found evidence for the use of puberty blockers and hormone treatments relied heavily on 'shaky foundations' and guidelines not backed by science.
Dr Cass addressed recent debates over 'social transitioning', such as changing names and pronouns.
The report found those who socially transition at an earlier age or before seeing a medical professional were 'more likely to proceed to a medical pathway'.
She said 'the importance of what happens in school' cannot be over-estimated and said parents must not be excluded from conversations over their children's welfare.
Unregulated private clinics were singled out for some of Dr Cass's toughest criticism as she echoed GPs' warnings over prescriptions issued by services based abroad.
The review said family doctors had 'expressed concern about being pressurised to prescribe hormones after these have been initiated by private providers'.
It said no GP should be expected to 'enter into a shared care arrangement with a private provider', especially one acting outside NHS guidance. Mr Sunak said the report emphasised the need for caution over treatment.
He said: 'We simply do not know the long-term impacts of medical treatment or social transitioning on children.
'The wellbeing and health of children must come first.'
Helen Joyce of charity Sex Matters, said: 'Hilary Cass's report demolishes the entire basis for the current model of treating gender-distressed children.
'It is a shameful day for NHS England, which for too long gave vulnerable children harmful treatments for which there was no evidence base.
'Cass's review is a breath of fresh air, marking a return to common-sense decision-making and evidence-based medical treatment.'

A spokesman for Bayswater, a group that supports parents of trans children, said the Cass Report 'represents a sea change in the treatment of trans-identified children and young people'.
The report was also welcomed by Labour. Shadow health secretary Wes Streeting described it as 'a watershed moment for the NHS's gender identity services'.
The report comes weeks after NHS England confirmed it would no longer prescribe children puberty blockers at its gender identity clinics, saying there is not enough evidence to support their 'safety or clinical effectiveness'.
A spokesman said: 'NHS England is very grateful to Dr Cass and her team for their comprehensive work.'

Governor Vetoes Bill Protecting Children From Transgender Procedures In State With GOP Supermajority

Trump Reacts To Iran’s Attack On Israel: ‘Would Never Have Happened If I Were President!’

Democratic Kansas Governor Laura Kelly vetoed a bill on Friday that would have protected children from life-altering transgender surgeries, claiming that it trampled on parental rights.
The Republican-backed bill would have banned surgical procedures like removing the breasts of girls who identify as boys and other genital-related surgeries. It also would have banned placing children on puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, which have been linked to poor bone development, future fertility issues, and heart problems.

“This divisive legislation targets a small group of Kansans by placing government mandates on them and dictating to parents how to best raise and care for their children. I do not believe that is a conservative value, and it’s certainly not a Kansas value,” Kelly said in a veto message. “To be clear, this legislation tramples parental rights.”
Republicans have supermajorities in both the state House and Senate, meaning that they could move to override Kelly’s veto. The legislation, Senate Bill 233, passed the House 80 to 40 and the Senate 26 to11.
The legislation also would have authorized a civil cause of action against healthcare providers for providing such treatments, restricted the use of state money to back “gender transitioning,” and require professional discipline for doctors who did transgender procedures on kids.
Kansas House Speaker Dan Hawkins said Republicans stood by ready to override the veto.
“As we watch other states, nations, and organizations reverse course on these experimental procedures on children, Laura Kelly will most surely find herself on the wrong side of history with her reckless veto of this common-sense protection for Kansas minors,” he said.

Last year, the Senate fell short of overriding Kelly’s veto of a similar bill that would have banned transgender procedures on children. The legislature was able to override her veto on a bill that defined men and women on the basis of their “biological reproductive system.”
According to the law, a “female” is “an individual whose biological reproductive system is developed to produce ova” and a “mother” is” a parent of the female sex.” The law also stipulates that “woman” and “girl” refer to biological females.
In recent years, over 20 states have enacted laws shielding children from transgender surgeries, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormone regimes. The groups have been opposed by leftist activists who claim the laws are discriminatory and violate the 14th Amendment.

(LifeSiteNews) — A hard-hitting new video attack ad that the Trump team is sharing on social media declares: “Kamala supports taxpayer-funded sex changes for prisoners.”
Kamala Harris is then seen in a 2020 interview with the “National Center for Transgender Equality,” a transgender activist group, promising a man dressed in women’s clothing, “Every transgender inmate in the prison system would have access.”

“It’s hard to believe, but it’s true,” says the narrator. “Even the liberal media were shocked Kamala supports taxpayer-funded sex changes for prisoners and illegal aliens.”

Then, while showing starkly contrasting pictures — Kamala Harris standing with a hulking drag queen versus Donald Trump talking to working men in a factory — the narrator points out: “Kamala is for THEY/THEM; President Trump is for YOU.”
In addition to “sex changes” for inmates, Harris supports all aspects of the LGBT movement, including “gender transitions” for children and LGBT indoctrination of children in schools. The Biden-Harris administration has tried to force hospitals and doctors to facilitate the surgical and chemical mutilation of gender-confused individuals.
As a U.S. senator, Harris criticized a judicial nominee and member of the Knights of Columbus, attacking the organization because its leadership opposes so-called homosexual “marriage” in accordance with Catholic teaching.

Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz, has a similarly radical pro-LGBT record and signed an executive order and a law protecting “gender transition” surgeries and drugs for children.

Meet The Trans-Identifying Lawyer Arguing To SCOTUS That Kids Should Get Gender Transitions

‘Blatant Corruption’: Republican Leading Biden Family Investigation Slams Hunter Pardon

Two Democrats Speak Out Against Biden Pardoning His Son

The far-left group behind a massive Supreme Court case on child gender transitions is sending a trans-identifying lawyer to Washington, D.C., this week to defend transitioning children.
Chase Strangio is a woman who identifies as a transgender man, and the co-director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s LGBT & HIV Project. She has undergone transgender medical treatments herself, which she has documented on her social media, and argues that children should also be able to access so-called gender-affirming care.

“Every aspect of gender-affirming care that has transformed my life,” Strangio told CNN, “I’m keenly aware that I want to preserve the ability for other people to access that care.”
“For me it is not about a genderless society,” she argued in another interview. “It is about challenging our assumptions about a fixed binary gender and exposing instead what gendered systems do to organize and reinforce power. I think we all have a role to play in being more critical about the operation of gender – not to make everything genderless but to make gender a site of play, reconstruction and reimagination.”
When the Supreme Court hears oral arguments in United States v. Skrmetti on December 4, Strangio will be the one presenting on behalf of the ACLU. The case deals with Tennessee’s law banning irreversible gender transition procedures for children — and it promises to be one of the most significant the court has looked at this term.
If the court rules for Tennessee, children across the United States will be protected from these irreversible procedures. Already, lawmakers throughout the country have enacted more than 24 laws protecting children from “gender-affirming care” and the activist doctors who push these procedures.
In the past, Strangio has challenged Trump’s actions against trans-identifying service members in the military, and another case, R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes v. EEOC, which the ACLU boasts, “resulted in a landmark 6-3 ruling from the Supreme Court finding the 1964 Civil Rights Act’s prohibition on sex discrimination in employment extended to discrimination against LGBTQ workers.”
The ACLU has advertised that Strangio will be the first openly trans-identifying individual to argue a case before the Supreme Court, describing Strangio as “our nation’s leading legal expert on the rights of transgender people, bar none.”

“It’s hard to see the challengers’ feeble equal protection theory having sway with the Court, so it’s not surprising that they would prefer to focus on historic firsts over the actual merits of their case,” Judicial Crisis Network’s Carrie Severino told The Daily Wire.

(Jemal Countess/Getty Images for TIME)

Strangio didn’t respond to requests for comment from The Daily Wire, nor did the ACLU. Earlier this year, after Manhattan Institute Fellow Leor Sapir reported that Strangio had angered the ACLU by disrespecting LGBTQ leaders and acting without concern for the interests of specifically gay activists, Strangio deleted her X account.
Her presence before the Supreme Court may pose a challenge to some of the justices, given the debate surrounding preferred pronouns for people who identify as transgender. The ACLU and legacy media outlets, for example, use “he/him” pronouns to describe Strangio, though she is a biological woman.
Given the high-profile, controversial nature of the case, it is likely the justices will want to avoid references to Strangio’s gender altogether.
“To me, a feminist is someone who works to name and destabilize the ways in which systems of gender operate to inequitably distribute survival opportunities for different individuals and groups,” Strangio said in a recent interview with “Feminist.”
It is unclear why the website interviewed Strangio, who identifies as a man.
“Critical to this project is recognizing that gender does not just operate on individuals but is inextricable from systems of governance.”
Strangio also argues that young people have been “cut off from the medical care they need,” referring to transgender surgeries, hormones, and puberty blockers, “leaving them and their loving parents scrambling.”
“Cutting off this care is not an option for people so families are moving out of their homes, splitting up so one parent can take a trans child out of state, and even making plans to leave the United States to better protect their trans adolescent children,” she argued, referring to parents seeking to help their minor children undergo irreversible surgeries or begin taking hormones that may destroy their fertility, increase mental health issues, cause cardiovascular side effects, and more.
