Police: Carjackers Hit Pizza Worker With Bat, Fire Shots
Employee Apparently Attacked While Dumping Trash

Two men attempted to carjack an 18-year-old employee of a local pizza shop early Wednesday, according to police.
Police say the worker was emptying trash outside Dolly's Pizza on Dixie Highway in Waterford Township around 12:15 a.m. when the men approached him and demanded he hand over the keys to his car.
At some point, one of the men struck th
worker over the head with a baseball bat, according to police. The victim was able to enter his car, but as he attempted to flee the scene, the other man reportedly fired two shots from a shotgun at the wo
rker's car.
One round struck the driver's-side door, accord
ing to reports.
Police say the victim drove to the Waterford Police Department where he was treated by Waterford Fire E.M.S. and transported to a nearby hospital. He was treated for a head injury and released.
His alleged attackers were both described as possibly Hispanic and around 5 feet 9 inches tall. One man weighed approximately 140 pounds and was wearing a green monster mask over his face, a dark blue T-shirt, dark-colored pants and was armed with a shotgun. The other man was about 190 pounds and was wearing a red bandana, dark clothing and was armed with an aluminum baseball bat.
The men were reportedly driving an early to mid-1990s, gold, four-door Honda Civic or Acura with light blue ground effect
s on the front and sides, stock rear bumper that was loose and hanging off the car, silver rims and a loud exhaust.
