Phoenix police have identified one suspect and released the photo of another man suspected of kidnapping two roommates walking home from a bar in February and sexually assaulting one of them.

The incident occurred about 3 a.m. Feb. 22 when a 21
year-old woman and her 19-year-old male roommate were kidnapped by four men in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee in the 2300 block of East Campbell Avenue, said Sgt. Randy Force, spokesman for the Police Departme

nt.

The pair were robbed, bound and driven to a field in the 9000 block of East McDonald Drive in Scotts
dale.

The woman was sexually assaulted in the vehicle by three of the four men and again by all four in the open field, where the suspects dumped them about two hours later, Force said.

Police have identified one suspect as George Hernandez Jr. He's 28, 5 feet 10 inches and 180 pounds.

A second suspect was photographed at a bank ATM using a card from one of the victims. He is described as 25 to 30 years old with a heavy build.

Investigators have also recovered a knife that they believe was used to force the pair into the vehicle, Force said.

The neighborhood is near the Biltmore area with apartment complexes occupied by young professionals. Joggers
and walkers with dogs are frequently seen on the street.

Anyone with information about Hernandez, the crime or any of the suspects is asked to call the Silent Witness Program at 1-800-WITNESS.
