Three Area Stores Robbed
Chad Feast had five minutes to go Saturday night on his shift as a Bentonville E-Z Mart clerk. He had a customer at the counter and another E-Z Mart store on the phone asking about printer paper.
Then a man barged in.
"He's got a shotgun in one hand and a black backpack in the other," Feast said.
The man pointed the gun at the customer and told him to back up. He turned the gun to Feast. Feast handed over the register's till, which had $55.
Callers later reported similar armed robberies in Springdale and Rogers, according to police dispatch logs.
Feast described the man as black, skinny and tall. He wore a black bandana and a red hooded zip-up sweater with bones printed on it, Feast said.

The man came into the store at 715 S.W. "A"
St. about 10:55 p.m. He left on foot.
Shortly after midnight, Mary Salas, a clerk, reported to Springdale police a robbery at King's Korner Store, 2808 W. Huntsville Ave. A black man with a shotgun said he'd kill her if she didn't give him everything in the register, according to the dispatch report.
The man also robbed two customers, according to a news release. He fled on foot.
Witnesses described him as slender and about 6 feet tall. He wore a bandana and black clothing including a shirt that possibly had a skull on it. The man carried a backpack, the release said.
A man robbed a Rogers E-Z Mart, 1749 W. Walnut St., and a customer about 3:30 a.m., according to a news release. He walked in, brandished a shotgun and demanded money, according to the release.
He left heading east on foot. Police tried to track him with a police dog.
Witnesses' description of the man resembled the description given to Springdale police — black, carrying a black bag a
nd wearing black clothing and a bandana.
Rogers, Bentonville and Springdale police officials said late Sunday afternoon they hadn't made an arrest. The robberies are possibly related, a Springdale police official said.
Saturday was Feast's fourth day on the job.
"I'm quitting," he said. "There's no way you can pay me enough money to go back in there when it's dark."
