Man admits raping 11-year-old girl
MIDDLEBURG --A 29-year-old McClure man who impregnated an 11-year-old has pleaded guilty to raping the girl.
Damon V. Antrim pleaded guilty to rape before Union-Snyder President Judge Harold F. Woelfel Jr.
He also pleaded no contest to two charges related to sexual contact he had in 2003 with a 13-year-old girl.
"This is an excellent outcome," Snyder County District Attorney Michael Sholley said Friday. "It saved putting the victims on the stand and we're looking to get (Mr. Antrim) a lifetime registration as a sexual offender."
Mr. Antrim's attorney, public defender John Reed, could not be reached for comment.
Mr. Antrim was arrested in December after
the girl, now 12, gave birth by
cesarean section at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
The vict
im is the daughter of Mr. Antrim's former girlfriend.
Authorities alleged he raped the girl between March and May 2004 and also had unlawful sexual contact with the girl's then 13-year-old cousin in July 2003.
After giving birth, the 11-year-old victim told police that Mr. Antrim was the only person she had had intercourse with and that he was the father of her daughter.
The 13-year-old cousin also told a forensic interviewer last August that she'd had sexual relations with Mr. Antrim a year earlier.
During a preliminary hearing, a police officer testified that Mr. Antrim admitted to police that he had brief sexual contact with the 13-year-old girl.
Mr. Antrim, who has been in Snyder County Prison in lieu of $125,000 bail for several months, appeared in Snyder County Court on Wednesday for the plea agreements.
He faces a 5- to 20-year prison term.

ded no contest to corrupting a minor and indecent assault in the case of the 13-year-old girl. He could f
ace an additional 7 years in prison for those charges.
Sentencing is scheduled pending a review by the state Sexual Offenders Assessment Board.
