LEXINGTON, Miss. — Three (black) men are in custody in connection to the shooting of a Lexington police officer.
Authorities say Ayquanya Brown, Kiara Brown and Jamie Pernell were arrested around 1 a.m. Friday.
The sheriff of Holmes County, Willie March, says they were all wanted for the shooting that happened around 9 p.m. Thursday. The officer is recovering.
Details on what led to the shooting have not been released.
