Three killed in two days in Shreveport
The slayings happened within 2.4 miles of each other.

Shreveport police are trying to solve three slayings that happened in the last two days in the Lakeside and Allendale sections of the city.
The latest homicide occurred a little before 9 p.m. Monday at the Canaan Village Apartments near the intersection of Patzman Street and North Holtzman Street, where police found a man shot more than once on the grass betwee
Building 3 and Building 5, violent crimes Sgt. Brian Strange said. The man's name has not been released pending notification of his family, Strange said.

tion is being hampered by the lack of cooperation of people living in the area, Stra
nge said.
Earlier Monday, a 30-year-old man was shot about 3:30 p.m. in the back yard of his house in the 3400 block of Judson Street.
Marlow Thomas was shot once in the chest with a handgun, Lt. Mike Price said.
Thomas was taken to LSU Hospital in Shreveport where he was pronounced dead, police spokesman Sgt. Jim Taliaferro said.
Police are looking for two men who left the scene driving a silver late 1990s model Pontiac Grand Am with chrome rims, Taliaferro said.
On Monday morning police also identified a Benton woman who was found dead Sunday morning in a home in the 1900 block of Milam Street as 44-year-old Vickie Brown.
Police are still looking for Charles Ray Edwards, 55,
who is wanted for questioning in relation to Brown's death.
Edwards is described as a black male about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing about 210 poun
ds.<

Police are not sure what weapon was used to kill the woman, but she suffered a cut that led to her death. The motive
behind the killing is still being investigated.
Her death occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday when the body was found.
No arrests have been made in any of the cases.
