Man in critical condition after fight near Bathurst and Queen
A man is in hospital in critical condition after an assault in the city’s downtown core early Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred at around 12:35 a.m. near Queen and Bathurst streets.
According to police, a man was involved in a fight on the street with two other men when he was knocked to the ground. The man suffered a serious injury, police say, and was unable to get up.

Police are investigating an assault near Queen and Bathurst streets that left one man critically injured.
When officers arrived, they found the victim bleeding heavily. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment and his condition has since worsened.
Police say his injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
“His situation is fairly severe,” Const. David Hopkinson told CP24 at police headquarters Tuesday morning.

Investigators have not yet released suspect descriptions but say the perpetrators appear to have fled the area in a light blue car.

Police seek assistance in identifying two men wanted in an Aggravated Assault investigation,
Queen Street West and Bathurst Street

On Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 12:30 a.m., the Toronto Police Service received a call for an assault in the Queen Street West and Bathurst Street area.

It is reported that:

- a 36-year old man was walking along Queen Street West and got involved in an altercation with two men

- the 36-year-old man was punched by a one man and fell to the ground unconscious, where he was then punched again by a second man

- the two men fled the area southbound on Bathurst Street in a newer model blue Dodge Charger vehicle

Suspect #1 is described as 25-35 years of age, 6'0", slim build, with corn rows and a beard. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black running shoes.

Suspect #2 is described as 25-35 years of age, 5'9", short black hair. He was wearing glasses, a black hooded jacket, ripped faded blue jeans, and blue/white running shoes.
