THREE people have been arrested following a nationwide manhunt for a sex attacker who tried to rape a teenager in Camden Town.
Camden Police are following several leads after receiving a very good response to an appeal on BBC's Crimewatch.
Two men were arrested in London and a third in Birmingham after more than 100 people contacted the programme following the appeal.
They have all been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
A 19-year-old woman was attacked in February following a night out at the Electric B
llroom in Camden High Street.
After failing to get a taxi in Chalk Farm, the woman walked back to the club to meet her friends. As she approached the venue a man grabbed her and dragged her into Buck Str

eet
and sexually
assaulted her.
The victim elbowed the attacker in the head and made her escape.
Two passers-by managed to stop the suspect but a third man later intervened and inadvertently let the man escape, believing he was being subjected to a racist attack.
Detective Constable Paul Kettel, of Camden's rape and sexual offences investigations team, said: We have had a very good response and as a result we are now investigating a number of leads.
"f it hadn't been for the fact that she was helped out by two members of the public it probably would have been worse than it was but it was still a horrifying attack.
The suspect is described as a black man in his mid 20s, about 5ft 8in tall and of stocky build.
He was wearing a Puffa style jacket and has a tooth missing.
Any
one with information should call DC Kettel on 020-8733 6482.
