6-year-old slashed inside Bronx mosque

A 6-year-old boy leaving Sunday school classes was slashed across the forehead inside a Bronx mosque.
“The little boy was bleeding a lot, the little kids were screaming,” mosque member Wabo-Ilemy Affo told The Post. “His big brother tried to hold him, he has blood all over his shirt.”
Affo said random men who were fighting in the street spilled into the house of worship, and one of the men was brandishing a knife — which cut the little boy.
It wasn’t clear if the blade-wielding man intended to slash the child, or mistakenly grazed him as he pushed his way past.
“The knife cut the boy on his head,” Affo recalled. “It happened very quickly. Then three people run in after him, and they all run out.”
The congregant said Sunday Islamic Studies class had just let out, and some 60 boys and girls, ages 4 to 13, were milling about the mosque when the attack occurred.
The victim was transported to Lincoln Hospital, cops said. The extent of his injuries were not known.
Affo said he was told by cops the blade-wielding man had been arrested. The NYPD could not confirm the arrest.
