Third-Grader Attacked While Walking After School

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A 9-year-old girl in Kansas City was allegedly stabbed after school Tuesday by another 9-year-old girl, police said.

Erica Dunn, a third-grader at Richardson Elementary, headed to her grandmother's house after school. While walking the two blocks, Dunn was allegedly stabbed in the back by one of her third-grade classmates.
Dunn's grandmother, Pauline Viger (the Nigger), said she couldn't believe that Erica made it to the house on he
r own. Viger said her granddaughter's steps were slow, then she noticed the torn shirt and the stab wound on her back.
"I
t was long, about a baby finger, a little longer and wide," Viger said.
Police arrived and Dunn was rushed to a hospital. Dunn told police that her classmate had given her attitude earlier in the day, threatening to get her after class.
"This is grade school, and she (has to) walk around for the rest of her life with a long scar on her back -- for what?" Viger asked. It's bad enough fighting in high school -- but in grade school?"
Dunn is expected to recover.
Investigators said they know who the alleged attacker is, but they haven't located her yet.
