A gang of robbers allegedly dressed in army uniforms on Wednesday attacked the Ore branch of Omegabank leaving five persons dead and several millions of naira carted away.
Eye-witness account said the robbers on arrival at the bank fired gunshots into the air to scare away people and later shot two policemen and three civilians.
It was gathered that the robbers who wore army uniform ordered customers in the bank to lie down with a threat to kill anybody who r
sisted.
The robbery was confirmed by the State Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr Ebenezer Owoeye who, however, said only one policeman and three civilians were killed.
He said another polic

shot was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
