KSDK -- An East St. Louis man has been charged with robbing an acquaintance's home Tuesday afternoon in Belleville.
According to Captain Donald Sax, the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. The victim told investigators that he heard a knock at the door and saw the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Richard D. Brown Jr., waiting outside. The victim said he knew Brown and opened the door to let him in.
Brown and another man then pushed their way inside, pointed a pistol at the victim and made him lay on the couch while the robbed the place, Sax said. The suspects stole some cash, a PlayStation console and a
Domino's deliver dag. The victim was unharmed in the robbery.
Detectives were able to identify and charge Brown, and charged him with home invasion and armed robbery. He remains in custody on $200,000 bail.
