Police investigate robbery in mall parking lot
Poughkeepsie Town Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred in a rear parking lot at the Poughkeepsie Galleria.
Shortly after 9 p.m. on Monday, two individuals, a male and a female, were sitting in vehicle in the rear of the mall near the old entrance to the former Montgomery Ward store when they were approached by two males looking to borrow money.
After a sort conversation, one of the males motioned to the subjects in the car that he had a handgun under his shirt. The male was relieved of cash and other personal property and the female was relieved of jewelry and other personal property. The suspects fled on foot
One suspect was described as a male Hispanic in his late teens or early 20s, wearing a black puffy jacket and dark color hat. The other is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s w

There were no injuries in the incident. Town of Poughkeepsie Police are urging anyone who may have been in the area of the Galleria and may have seen anything that may be related to this incident to call them at 485-3666.
