Man accused of damaging North Carolina McDonald’s, trying to bite officer

GASTONIA, N.C. – An intoxicated man is accused of jumping over the counter at a North Carolina McDonald’s restaurant and causing thousands of dollars of damage.
The Gaston Gazette reported that Quentin Lamar Lipscomb, 37, of Gastonia, faces charges of assault on a government official, assault and battery, injury to personal property and intoxicated and disruptive.
Police responded to the incident at about 7 p.m. Thursday at a McDonald’s in Gastonia.
The suspect is accused of causing more than $4,500 in damage and causing the restaurant to lose more than $800 in food.
He also allegedly damaged a cookie stand and shouted insults and profanity at customers and employees.
The suspect was allegedly walking through the drive-thru when officers arrived. The assault on a government official charge comes after he allegedly tried to bite the arm of an officer.
