Former LA Laker and Brooklyn Nets hoopster Darius Morris is being sued by a woman in Manhattan for alleged assault and battery, according to new court papers.

Kristen Summer filed the Manhattan Supreme Court summons against the 30-year-old ex-NBA player Friday.

The brief two-page summons says Summer’s case “arises from assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and gender motivated violence” involving Morris.

The case does not include a civil complaint — where detailed allegations are normally laid out — and does not elaborate on the accusations.

Morris’s ex-girlfriend, Kristen Evangaline, recently came out on Instagram with graphic photos and videos of domestic violence that she claimed Morris committed against her last April, the Florida New Times reported.

It was not immediately clear whether Kristen Evangaline and Kristen Summer are the same person.

Morris was arrested in April 2020 on charges of assault, harassment and obstruction of breathing or blood circulation involving a woman.

In the 2020 incident, Morris allegedly repeatedly kicked and hit the unidentified woman and put his hand over her mouth, according to a criminal complaint.

The woman was left with bruising, swelling on her face and right ear and had a chipped tooth, the complaint alleged.

Morris was also charged with violating an order of protection against the victim when he showed up in the hallway outside her apartment a few weeks after the alleged attack, according to a separate criminal complaint.

Morris was released on both cases, which are still pending.

The woman later told TMZ she made the claims up and planned to drop the criminal charges against Morris.

Morris’s criminal lawyer and his rep both did not immediately return requests for comment. Summer’s lawyer also did not immediately return an inquiry.

Ex-Nets player Darius Morris says assault accuser sent him death threats

Ex-Brooklyn Nets player Darius Morris has brought counterclaims against his assault accuser claiming she made him fear for his life, including by sending him and his family death threats, new court papers show.

The 30-year-old former NBA player — who also once played for the Los Angeles Lakers — denied Kristen Summer’s allegations that he dragged her by her hair and “violently beat” her as she “begged for her life” in April last year, according to court papers she filed last month as part of her lawsuit.

On Thursday, Morris fired back against Summer, mounting counterclaims of infliction of emotional distress and defamation.

Morris claims that Summer has made him “fear for his safety” and has caused him “severe emotional distress including death threats to him and his family,” the papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court allege.

Summer also made false statements about him, including in her April lawsuit, which have defamed him and hurt his reputation, the court documents allege. And she interfered with his contracts to play pro ball “overseas, in the NBA league and G league,” the filing claims.

Morris is seeking unspecified damages, including for the cost of attorney’s fees he’ll incur as he fights the suit.

Summer’s lawyer did not immediately return a request for comment.
