Donald Trump is set to make his first trip to New York since leaving the White House amid an apparent rift with son-in-law Jared Kushner who the ex-president is said to be angry with over his election loss.

Trump is jetting back to the Big Apple this weekend after spending the last six weeks holed up at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, since he snubbed Joe Biden's inauguration on January 20.

News of his visit comes amid reports of escalating tensions between Trump and former White House Senior Adviser Jared in the days since they both left DC.

Contradictory reports are circling from people close to the two men over who is to blame for the apparent rift but they appeared to actively avoid bumping into each other at the Trump National Doral golf course in Miami Wednesday.

Trump, 74, was spotted leaving the driving range to head to the 18-round course just minutes before Ivanka and Jared arrived to practice their swing, narrowly missing bumping into each other.

Jared, 40, was also absent from Trump's team ahead of his appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference Sunday and the ex-president is telling his inner circle he blames Jared for his failed second run at office, reported CNN.

However sources close to Jared say Kushner has 'checked out of politics' because he is 'done' with Trump's false rhetoric of widespread election fraud.

Trump advisor Jason Miller has denied the reports of a rift and told DailyMail.com the two men met up at the club right before their separate golf outings and also had lunch together this past week.

Sources told New York Daily News Trump will fly in to New York City Sunday and stay until Tuesday.

Domestic travelers arriving into New York state no longer have to quarantine or test out if they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 within the last 90 days.

It emerged earlier this week that Trump and Melania both quietly received their COVID-19 vaccines at the White House in January.

The purpose of Trump's fleeting visit is not clear and it is not known if Melania will be joining him.

But, with rumors circling of an apparent rift with Jared, all eyes will be on Trump's travel companions.

Two sources close to the men told CNN the apparent rift has been initiated by Trump who is telling insiders Jared is to blame for his election loss.

'We know the boss isn't going to blame himself,' a source said.

Jared was notably absent from Trump's list of advisers accompanying him to his CPAC appearance where he teased a third run for the White House and continued to push false claims he won the election.

His son-in-law was also missing from a meeting late last week where Trump brought together his top advisers to plan his political future including the 2022 midterms.

According to CNN, these talks - which took place in Mar-a-Lago - included former campaign manager Bill Stepien, adviser Jason Miller, former White House social media director Dan Scavino, Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. and former campaign manager Brad Parscale, who was fired last summer.

Jared, 40, was also absent from Trump's team ahead of his appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference Sunday (pictured)

A spokesman for Trump told DailyMail.com, Kushner spoke with the ex-president and his advisors every day in the run-up to CPAC.

Another source who worked with Jared in the Trump White House said his absence was unusual given he was one of Trump's closest advisers during his time in the White House and was involved in almost all goings-ons in the Oval Office.

'That's about as 180 a turn as he could ever make,' they said.

'This was a guy who for four years did everything on behalf of President Trump. He lived that job.'

But several sources close to Jared say it has been the 40-year-old's choice to step away because he is 'done' with Trump's rhetoric after he pushed false claims the election was 'rigged'.

While Trump publicly refused to concede, Jared was reportedly urging him behind closed doors to admit defeat. Trump ignored these pleas.

Then, on January 6, a pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol in a riot that left five - including a Capitol cop - dead.

Trump was impeached by the House for inciting the insurrection but was acquitted by the Senate during his impeachment trial.

The events are said to have 'wore down' Jared and he now wants no part in advising his father-in-law on his political goals.

'The drama of politics wore him down. Eventually, Trump wears everyone down,' one source said.

Another added: 'Right now, he's just checked out of politics.'

Other insiders have downplayed reports of a rift claiming Jared is just enjoying 'some much needed time with his family' and a 'break' from politics but claim the two men met for lunch Wednesday in Florida at Trump's Doral property.

Ivanka - who has long been rumored to harbor her own political ambitions - is also said to be taking a break and has even told not to even bring up anything to do with their old life in DC.

The couple upped sticks from their home in the affluent Kalorama Heights neighborhood in Washington DC in January.

Like most of the Trump clan, they are making Florida their new home setting up with their three children in one of Miami's most coveted oceanfront buildings, Arte Surfside.

Some people close to Kushner told CNN they believe that , after a break, Jared will be raring to go to rejoin whatever Trump has in store.

'He is trying to be someone you would go to on the Republican side to put a deal together,' one person said.

Trump has also denied there is any rift between him and his son-in-law.

'There is no rift between President Trump and Jared, as evident by their having lunch this week,' said his advisor Miller.

Trump teased the possibility of another bid at the Conservative Political Action Conference this weekend, where he continued to push his false claims he won the last election by saying he would 'beat' the Democrats for a 'third time'.

Trump told the crowd his wife Melania would be 'the future first lady' and that he would 'beat' the Democrats for a 'third time' - pushing his false claims that he beat Joe Biden.

Ivanka, Jared and their children arrive to a farewell ceremony at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, on January 20 as Trump snubbed Biden's inauguration

Like most of the Trump clan, Jared and Ivanka are making Florida their new home setting up with their three children in one of Miami's most coveted oceanfront buildings, Arte Surfside (above)

'Actually as you know, [the Democrats] just lost the White House, but it's one of those things,' he said.

'But who knows, who knows, I may even decide to beat them for a third time.'

He added: 'And I want you to know that I'm going to continue to fight right by your side, we will do what we've done right from the beginning, which is win.'

But his plans may be on hold as both New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. are investigating Trump's business dealings for potential tax fraud.

Ex-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, who has cooperated with Vance's criminal probe, mocked Trump saying he is returning to Manhattan because there is no golden statue of him in the city.

'The human Donald must stand in and be put on display for the multitude of NYC followers desperate to rub the belly and pray at his feet,' Cohen told Daily News.

There is no indication Trump's visit to New York is connected to these investigations.

Miller said he cannot discuss the nature of Trump's trip but said it 'has nothing to do with Jared.'

While Trump has relocated his permanent residence from the White House to Mar-a-Lago, he is from New York and still has Trump Tower in the heart of Manhattan.

In January, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced the city was terminating all of the Trump Organization's concession contracts including the two Central Park rinks, Wollman and Lasker, because of Trump's connection to the MAGA mob riot.

Kellyanne Conway: Trump Needs to Ditch Jared Kushner

Link: https://thecongressionalinsider.com/kellyanne-conway-trump-needs-to-ditch-jared-kushner/

Kellyanne Conway worked as senior counselor for the Trump campaign and said that if Donald Trump wants success in his possible 2024 White House bid, he needs to do it without his son-in-law Jared Kushner.
In 2016, Conway was credited for successfully managing Trump’s winning campaign. Conway suggests that Kushner is a detriment and is only trying to “wash his hands” of responsibility for Trump’s alleged 2020 election loss.
Kushner is raking in billions of dollars thanks to his status but is bringing no real value to the former president’s possible return.

“There’s nobody who’s profited more handsomely from Donald Trump’s presidency than Jared Kushner,” Conway told the Washington Times. “If you believe the news reports … he’s gotten billions of dollars for his [investment] fund.”

Thanks to his status as Trump’s advisor, Kushner formed a private equity firm that has brought in around $2 billion in a single investment from the Saudi kingdom’s sovereign wealth fund.
Some Trump supporters have never been big fans of Ivanka and think she’s stood in the way of some of the former president’s plans. However, tensions began to brew between the father and daughter when she publicly said she believed there was no election fraud in 2020.

Some supporters were happy to see Trump hit back at Ivanka’s claims in a post on his social media platform Truth Social.
“Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results. She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked!),” Trump said.
Conway also discussed her feelings towards Kushner while promoting her new book on The View.
“Some days felt like this extended, chaotic, ‘take your kid to work day’ when Jared was in charge of everything,” Conway said.
She went on to say that Kushner was smart, but had no accountability.
“He got in my way, and all Donald Trump asked us to do was work together,” Conway said. “I had been pushed aside by so many men throughout my political and professional career, and here was my shot. Donald Trump empowered me. He put me at the top of his campaign and all he wanted us to do was work together. But almost the moment Donald Trump won, Jared was getting in my way.”
With Trump possibly setting his sights on 2024, it’s not just Conway who hopes he leaves Kushner behind. Something has to give, and it may just be a lack of Kushner that could help Trump advance in the years to come.

Trump’s Niece Claims Jared Kushner May Be ‘Mar-a-Lago Mole’ Who ‘Tipped Off’ FBI to Classified Docs

“I think we need to look very hard at why Jared got $2 billion. We need to look very hard at why he has been so quiet for so many months now,” Mary Trump says.

The FBI claims to have recovered 11 sets of classified files, including “TS/SCI” (Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information) documents, in the course of a raid of former US President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate on August 8 and approved by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Jared Kushner could be the “Mar-a-Lago mole” who tipped off the FBI to classified documents held at Mar-a-Lago by ex-President Donald Trump, the 45th POTUS’ niece has speculated.

“We need to start with who would have access to this stuff. I don’t think Mark Meadows would have access to it,” Mary Trump said On The Dean Obeidallah Show on Friday.

After her reference to the former chief of staff, Mary Trump continued:

“And we need to think about who could also be implicated in this that would need as big a play as turning Donald in in order to get out of trouble, or at least to mitigate the trouble they’re in… It sounds like somebody in Jared’s position. I’m not saying it’s Jared, but it could be.”
The eldest grandchild of Fred Trump Sr., the father of Donald Trump, also referenced an investment in Kushner’s private equity firm by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund approximately six months after Donald Trump had exited the White House.

“I think we need to look very hard at why Jared got $2 billion. We need to look very hard at why he has been so quiet for so many months now,” Mary Trump said.

The speculation that Ivanka Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner, who served as senior White House adviser in the Trump administration, might have been the FBI informant was earlier voiced by Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney.

“It’s definitely a member of his inner circle,” Cohen told The Insider on Thursday, adding that he “would not be surprised to find out it is Jared or one of his children.”

Trump Slams ‘Hoax & Scam’

The Mar-a-Lago raid on Monday, approved by Attorney General Merrick Garland, was based on a confidential source, Newsweek reported on August 10, citing two senior government officials. The unprecedented raid was also ostensibly deliberately timed for when Donald Trump was not present at his Florida property.

After a team of FBI agents executed the search warrant, they claimed to have retrieved 11 sets of classified files, including “TS/SCI” (Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information) documents.

Donald Trump insisted in a statement on August 12 that all materials kept at his residence were declassified and securely stored. He vehemently denounced the raid as an attempt by the Democrats and establishment Republicans to weaponize the justice system in the US against political opponents.

Trump, who is yet to officially announce another bid for the White House, added that the raid was part of a plan to prevent him from running in the 2024 presidential election.

The search warrant signed by Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart on August 5 and unsealed by the US federal court indicates that the raid was conducted as part of a federal probe into potential violations of the Espionage Act, removal or destruction of records, and obstruction of an investigation.

A maximum sentence of 20 years in prison is the penalty for the destruction of records, while a defense information violation charge can entail up to 10 years behind bars. A concealment of records charge is fraught with up to three years under US law.

On Saturday, Donald Trump yet again slammed the court-approved FBI raid as a “hoax and scam,” adding in a post on his Truth Social network:

“Like all of the other Hoaxes and Scams that they’ve used to try and silence the voice of a vast majority of the American People, I have TRUTH on my side, and when you have TRUTH, you will ultimately be victorious.”

Trump Picks Charles Kushner, Jared Kushner's Criminal Father, for Ambassador to France

Charles Kushner, Jared Kushner's father who went to prison for a witness tampering plot that involved hiring a prostitute to seduce and secretly film his own brother-in-law, has been picked by President-elect Donald Trump to be America's ambassador to France.

Trump had said repeatedly that Jared and Ivanka Kushner would not be a part of his administration -- but he never said he wouldn't hire Kushner's crooked father!

From CNN, "Trump selects Jared Kushner's father, Charles Kushner, for ambassador to France":
Donald Trump has selected his son-in-law Jared Kushner’s father, Charles Kushner, to serve as the next US ambassador to France, the president-elect announced Saturday.

Trump described Charles Kushner as a highly successful business leader, philanthropist and dealmaker, with deep experience in the real estate industry.

“I am pleased to nominate Charles Kushner, of New Jersey, to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to France. He is a tremendous business leader, philanthropist, & dealmaker, who will be a strong advocate representing our Country & its interests,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

The president-elect also noted the connection to Jared Kushner, who is married to Trump’s daughter Ivanka. “His son, Jared, worked closely with me in the White House, in particular on Operation Warp Speed, Criminal Justice Reform, & the Abraham Accords,” Trump wrote in his post.
The trifecta!
Charles Kushner was pardoned by Trump in 2020 following a 2005 conviction on federal charges. Chris Christie, who led the case as the US attorney for New Jersey, said in 2019 that Kushner committed “one of the most loathsome, disgusting crimes” he had prosecuted.

Kushner, who was under investigation at the time for making illegal campaign contributions, targeted his brother-in-law, William Schulder, a former employee turned witness for federal prosecutors in their case against the Democratic donor. As part of the plot, Kushner hired a prostitute to lure Schulder into having sex in a motel as a hidden camera rolled. A tape of the encounter was then sent to Kushner’s sister and Schulder’s wife. Ultimately, the intimidation stunt failed, and the woman turned on Kushner.

Kushner pleaded guilty in 2005 to 16 counts of tax evasion, one count of retaliating against a federal witness and another count of lying to the Federal Election Commission. He was sentenced to two years in prison.
Incidentally, after Trump pardoned Charles Kushner, Kushner held a fundraiser to back Nikki Haley's presidential run.

The lowest moment of Trump's presidency was when he pardoned a bunch of Chabadnik super-criminals while simultaneously condemning his own supporters to rot in prison for Jan 6th.

What are the odds -- in keeping with tradition -- Trump will pardon Ghislaine Maxwell or Sam Bankman-Fried by the end of his second term?

Kushner’s fund to double stake in Israeli firm financing illegal West Bank settlements

US President-elect Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is set to double his investment firm’s stake in one of the Israeli regime’s major financial firms, which funds the construction of illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, just days before Trump returns to the White House.

Kushner’s Affinity Partners, as Bloomberg reported on Friday, received the nod from Israeli regulators to double its stake in Phoenix Financial Ltd., an approval that allows the Saudi-backed investment firm to buy an additional 4.95 percent stake at 37.5 shekels ($10.3) a share.
According to Bloomberg, Phoenix’s share price has surged over 50 percent to around 58.5 shekels apiece since mid-July, when Kushner’s Miami-based firm announced the $128.5 million deal to buy its initial 4.95-percent stake.

Kushner has held up the deal as a sign of his Saudi-backed company’s confidence in the Israeli regime’s economy which has been drained of coffers after about 16 months of brutal onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip without achieving any of the occupying entity’s declared goals.
“Investing in Phoenix in July 2024 was a decision rooted in my belief in Israel’s resiliency and the fundamentals of Phoenix’s business,” Kushner said in a statement to Bloomberg. “Six months later, the increased value of our shares, reaffirms my conviction – both in Israel’s strength and the growing promise of Phoenix.”
Phoenix Financial has financed and insured construction projects throughout illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and the Syrian Golan Heights.

Israeli settler councils drafting plan for annexation of West Bank: Report
Israeli settler councils drafting plan for annexation of West Bank: Report
Settler councils in the occupied West Bank have been drafting a plan to tighten Israel’s grip over the Palestinian territories.

According to the NGO watchdog Who Profits, Phoenix also owns an 80 percent stake in a large shopping mall in an illegal East al-Quds settlement and stakes in various companies operating throughout other settlements.
Kushner served as his father-in-law’s senior White House adviser in his first term and played a key role in the Abraham Accords that normalized relations between Tel Aviv and four Arab countries in 2020.

Trump, who is set to assume office on Monday, is expected to try to bring Saudi Arabia into the accords.
The return of Trump, who is himself a staunch supporter of Israel, coincides with the implementation of a ceasefire agreement that brought an end to the regime’s genocidal onslaught in Gaza after the massacre of nearly 47,000 Palestinians and injury of more than 110,000 others.
North of 700,000 Israelis live in over 230 settlements built since the 1967 Israeli occupation of the West Bank and East al-Quds.
The international community views the settlements as illegal under international law and the Geneva Conventions due to their construction on the occupied territories.
